Important Steps To Creating A Valuable Blog Post

Blogging can be easy and fun for anyone, but as marketers there are important steps to creating a valuable blog post.

I’m sure you will agree with me that when writing a blog it is important that we furnish valuable content.   The 3 C’s of marketing, create, capture, and convert are essential.

This is post is going to provide you with particular steps that you should consider when creating you blog post.

1.    Know Your Audience have a clear understanding of your audience. What do they want to know about? What will resonate with them?  Choose a topic that matters to your readers.

2.      Create Your Post’s Title –   Actually getting readers to start readingbyourpost when they see it in an RSS reader or search engine results page.  A Good title is specific and will guide your post so you can start writing.

3.     Captivating Opening Line – First impressions matter. Once     you’ve got someone past your post’s title your opening line draws them deeper into your post.  If you lose the reader in the first few paragraphs of the introduction, they will stop reading even though they haven’t given your post a fair chance. Then, show the purpose of the post and explain how it will address a problem the reader may be having.

4.    Organize Your Content –  A post needs to have a point and organized in a way so that  the information flow and  readers are not intimidated by the length or amount of content. The organization can take multiple forms — sections, lists, tips, whatever’s most appropriate.

       5.  Create the Content – Obviously a crucial step. You already know what you are going to write about so now is the time to put your thoughts in action.

6.  Compelling Appearance – Infographics help create attention but formatting is also very important. Titles and subtitles in the post need to be consistent. An image at the top to not only makes the post look prettier, but also so it’s included in social when the post is shared. 

7.  Call to Action – This step is often forgotten in a blog post and it is actually one of the most important parts.  At the end of every blog post, you should have a call to action. Usually, you think about the call to action being beneficial for the marketer. Your visitors read your blog post, they click on the call to action and you get a lead. But a call to action is also a valuable resource for the person reading your blog post — they’re going to click on the call to action if they enjoyed your blog post and want more information on that particular topic.
