Secrets of the Millionaire Mind: Review -Part 3
I am continuing my review of the book “Secrets of the Millionaire Mind” by T. Harv Eker. This is part 3 and if you have missed the previous reviews you can click here and read the other posts.
Briefly, Eker discussed 17 Wealth Files and in my previous blog (part 2) I reviewed 1-5 and here I will review 6-11 of the Wealth Files.
Wealth File #6
Rich people admire other rich and successful people. Poor people resent rich and successful people.
Poor people tend to look at other people’s success with resentment, jealousy, and envy. They are quick to judge and say ill remarks like “they’re so lucky” or “those rich jerks”. They blame the rich for their being poor. Rich people are generally very nice people and are extremely generous with their wealth.

Rich people associate with positive, successful people. Poor people associate with negative or unsuccessful people.
Successful people regard successful people as a way to motivate themselves. They look at successful people as models to learn from. Poor people resent other people’s success and often judge them, criticize them, mock them, and attempt to putt them down to their own level.

Rich people are willing to promote themselves and their value. Poor people think negatively about selling and promotion.
Rich people are excellent promoters and are willing to promote their products and services. Poor people may feel that promotion is beneath them. They feel it is impolite to “toot your own horn” therefore they will never be rich.

Rich people are bigger than their problems. Poor people are smaller than their problems.
Poor people will try to avoid problems at any costs. When they see a challenge they run. They don’t want the hassles, headaches, and responsibilities that come with being rich so they avoid problems. Rich people face problems and obstacles head on. ”The secret to success is not to try to avoid or get rid of or shrink from you problems; the secret is to grow yourself so that you are bigger than any problem.”

Rich people are excellent receivers. Poor people are poor receivers.
Poor people are challenged by receiving for a number of reason including the fact that they may not feel worthy of deserving. They may believe in the old adage “it is better to give than to receive”. Rich people are givers and receivers. They understand the concept that for every giver there must be a receiver, and for every receiver there must be a giver.

Rich people choose to get paid based on results. Poor people choose to get paid based on time.
Poor people prefer to be paid a steady salary or an hourly wage. They have a firm belief in their need for security and knowing they will be receiving the exact amount each week or month, whatever the case may be. Rich people prefer to get paid based on the results they produce. They believe in themselves and in the value and their ability to deliver it.
