Are You Winning Customers And Friends Or Losing Them?

Are you winning customers and friends or losing them?  Which one is it?

It’s a known fact that people join YOU and not necessarily your company.  When talking with people it’s important to know what they want.  However, it’s more important to know what it is that you want.

What is your ultimate goal when talking with someone?

What is your intention in starting a conversation?

What result are you trying to achieve?

Your goal should be to be a problem solver.

You can have anything you want

Whether we realize it or not, we are all coaches.  We coach our children in doing the right things and how to treat others. As leaders, we coach/help our team and customers to move forward and set personal and professional goals that will give them the life they really want.

Knowing how to talk with people, whether it’s in  business or in your personal life will help you move forward in your own growth and success.

Recently I learned a profound method to help others in setting their goals.  It’s called the 5-Why goal technique.  It’s a process of asking someone what their goal is then asking them why they want to achieve this goal. Often the person is very vague when they first answer the “why” question.  By repeatedly asking them “why” they want this specific goal, you are helping them get clear on their vision and what it is they want to achieve.

It doesn’t matter if it’s a personal goal, financial goal, health goal, or any other goal they might have.  Helping them get clear is the key.

So, what does this have to do with winning customers or losing them?

It all comes down to knowing how to relate to people.

“Let the other person talk themselves out. They know more about their business and problems than you do. So ask them questions. Let them tell you a few things”. ~~ Dale Carnegie

Let a person talk themselves

Did you know that “Coaching” is the second fastest growing industry in the world?  That’s true.  It is second only to I.T. (Internet Technology).

My question is how many of the people in the industry who call themselves “life coaches” are actually qualified?   Just because someone calls themself a “life coach” doesn’t necessarily mean they have had the training to so do.  Actually less than one half of the coaches make over a thousand dollars a month.

Why is that?

It’s because they don’t have the education, they don’t have the tools, and they don’t have the systems to make money in their business.

Here’s a true story that happened to me a couple of weeks ago.  I was approached (in a round-about-way) by someone who considered herself a life-coach.  I went to her website, and out of curiosity signed up to receive her online newsletter.  I entered my name and email and over a week later I still have not received her newsletter.

Why is that?

I’m not totally sure but my guess is that she doesn’t have the tools (such as an autoresponder and other marketing tools) in place in order to have a successful business.  Having an online business is more than contacting friends and family.  Shouldn’t it be about contacting people world-wide and helping them?

You may not want to be a life coach yourself but wouldn’t it be to your advantage to know how to  talk to your clients, prospects, customers, team members, your spouse, and even your children?

I’m talking to Realtors, Insurance Agents, Direct Sales People, MLM affiliates, and especially coaches, speakers, writers, and anyone else who considers themselves a professional in any field.

If you would like to know more about how to improve yourself so you can help others, I highly suggest that you click here to find out more about the system we have that is not only about coaching, but also a complete tool suite that will help you have a successful online business no matter what industry you are in.

This system is a combination suite of internet marketing tools, coaching course, and mindset coaching all-in-one.

The coaching course we have is second to none.

Do you want to make money as a transformational coach?

If so, we have partnered with one of the leading transformational coaches and we will show you how to create “change” in the people you work with and how to make a six figure income at the same time even if you never recruit a single person.

You are getting the opportunity to capitalize on the second fastest growing industry in the entire world.

How to Use Facebook Messenger for Business

The following article I found on Social Media Examiner was to great not to share and that’s exactly what I’m doing.

Read the rest of the article below.

ENJOY!

Do your customers use Facebook Messenger?

Wondering how you can help people find you on Messenger?

Recent updates make it easier for businesses to communicate with customers via Messenger’s private, one-to-one messages.

In this post you’ll discover how to connect and engage with customers using Facebook Messenger.

connect and engage with facebook messenger

Discover how to use Facebook Messenger for business.

Note that all app screenshots used in this article are from the iPhone version of the Facebook and Messenger apps.

#1: Share Messenger Codes

One way people can connect with your business is through the new Messenger Codes. These are codes that people can scan with theirMessenger app to initiate a private message with your business.

To get the messenger code for your Facebook page, go to your Facebook page’s message inbox. There you’ll find an icon for your messenger code at the bottom near the toggle for your away message. If it’s your first time in Messenger, you may also get a notification pointing to it.

When you click on the icon, a screen appears that displays a messenger code, the option to download it, and a quick demo of how it works.

When you click the Download drop-down, you have the option todownload the messenger code in three sizes, depending on where you plan to place it.

To alert fans that they can scan the code and message you anytime, you can share your messenger code on your page in posts.

Example of a page sharing their messenger code.

If people are on your Facebook page, they can use your Message button whether they’re viewing from the Facebook app or from their desktop browser.

The real beauty of messenger codes is that they can be used offline. Think business cards, store signage, brochures, product packaging, and so forth. You can effectively add your messenger code anywhere you would want your customers to have the option to connect with you via private message through Facebook.

When you share your messenger code online, be sure to encourage people to save your messenger code image to their photo library to scan it later. You’ll see why that’s important in the section below.

If you want to share the messenger code for your personal profile, you can go to your Messenger app and tap on Settings. There you’ll see your personal profile messenger code.

Customers who have the Messenger app will go to the People tab. From there, they’ll have the option to scan a messenger code.

By selecting Scan Code, they have the option to scan a new code or click on the icon at the bottom left to scan codes they’ve previously saved to their photo library.

This is why you should encourage people to either scan your code or save it to their phone so they have it handy when they want to send you a message.

If you want to share your personal profile messenger code, you could use each sharing method above. Or if you’re connecting in person and you both have the Messenger app, one of you can scan the other person’s code directly from the app and connect instantly that way. Definitely a great alternative for when you run out of business cards at a conference!

#2: Promote Private Messaging Links

Facebook now provides both Facebook pages and profiles with a direct, sharable link that will let people initiate a private message when they click it. You can grab your page’s link by clicking on the drop-down from the Message button.

To find your personal Messenger URL, go to the Settings tab in the Messenger app.

Where to find your personal profile’s messaging link.

One thing to note: you don’t really have to grab your URLs for private messages from either location. All you have to do is add your username (facebook.com/username) to the following URLs:

  • fb.me/msg/username
  • m.me/username

During random testing, the m.me/username URL didn’t always work correctly when typed into a mobile browser, such as Safari on an iPhone, for Facebook pages. The fb.me/msg/username seems to be more reliable for Facebook pages. Either works reliably on a desktop browser.

You can use these links both on- and offline to ensure that customers can communicate with you privately through your page’s messages.

#3: Auto-Reply With Messenger Greetings

Since Facebook page messaging is staged to get a lot more popular, you should set up some greetings for your new messengers. You now see the option to set a Messenger greeting in your page’s messaging settings.

facebook page message settings

Facebook page’s Message settings.

Messenger greetings appear to people who are messaging your page for the first time. They differ from Instant Replies, which are sent to people after they’ve sent you a message.

In Business Manager

Inside Business Manager, Facebook page managers will find an option to Add Personalization (such as the first name of the person) to replies and greetings. This may be added to pages outside Business Manager later, but for now, pages outside Business Manager don’t have the Add Personalization option.

options for facebook instant replies and greetings

Personalization can include the messenger’s first name and last name, along with the URL to your website. Customizing the Messenger greeting is a great way to let people know what types of messages to send to your page. In addition, you can let them know when to expect a response and from whom they can expect a response.

For certain businesses, personalization may be useful to let people know what information should NOT be sent via this channel, such as medical information, passwords, or other sensitive data.

#4: Locate Businesses by Username or Business Name

If your business currently allows people to send private messages to your Facebook page, then they’ll also be able to search for your business in the Messenger app. When they start a new message, they can search for your business using either your business name or your page’s username (@JaspersMarket).

Since usernames can be used to locate businesses in Messenger, they’re becoming more prominent on Facebook pages. You canshow your username below your page name in place of the category.

Your category will still remain visible and editable in the About tab of your page.

Get More Involved With Messenger for Your Business

If you want to get your customers even more involved with Messenger for your business, then you can sign up for the Businesses on Messenger program. It’s currently available to select businesses in the U.S.

What To Look For In Your Perfect Marketing Avatar

When you have an online business or actually any business, it’s important to know who your avatar is.  In the video below, I will discuss What To Look For In Your Perfect Marketing Avatar.

Watch the video below to find out more about your perfect marketing avatar.

What To Look For In Your Perfect Marketing Avatar.

A marketing avatar is your ideal client and perfect customer.  If you don’t know who you are marketing to, you are actually marketing to no one.

Your perfect customer or marketing avatar is an individual with a name, a picture and specific demographic and other characteristics. An avatar is not a real specific person; it is a composite of characteristics of many real people.

You are describing your target market, the people that you want most as your customers and will most likely to buy from you again and again.

It needs to be specific and focussed. A common mistake many people make is to create a customer avatar that is too broad and general.

Be as specific as possible. Don’t be too broad and general.

When customers feel YOU understand them better than they understand themselves, you’ve established a deep level of trust.

And that is the key to building a long-term, sustainable business.

Your avatar needs to speak to your ideal customer in a way that when they do come upon your website, it’s almost like you’ve read their mind. You’ve identified their pain points, fears, frustrations, desires and dreams.

Here are some things to consider when determining your perfect marketing avatar.

1.  How old are they exactly?
2.  What is their gender? Male or female?
3.  Where do they live?
4.  What do they like/dislike?
5.  What are their hobbies?
6.  Where do they hangout? Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest?
7.  What books do they read?
8.  What is their current job and salary?
9.  What are their goals, dreams, desires?
10.  What are they passionate about?

These are just a few things to consider and the more specific you get, the better your chances are in finding your ideal marketing avatar and your target audience.

3 Quick Etiquette Tips For Facebook

I actually shot this video with Facebook Livestream and decided to share it here because everyone need to know these 3 Quick Etiquette Tips For Facebook.

Watch this video and find out what they are.

3 Quick Etiquette Tips For Facebook

1.  Don’t post negative comments.  It hurts you and provide others with a positive feeling either.
2.  Be cautious when tagging people in posts/comments.  If it doesn’t have anything to do with the person, don’t tag them.
3.  Post only appropriate pictures.  If you post pictures of other people be sure to check with them first.  Not everyone wants their picture spread all over the Internet.

One more point that has nothing to do with etiquette but I think is important is don’t accept friend request from people who do not have profile picture or cover photo.

If you have an online business, I’m sure you receive a lot of friend request from people you don’t know.

Just because you receive a friend request doesn’t mean you have to accept it.
