4 Quick Tips For Newbies Who Are Just Getting Started Online

I can remember when I started Network/Internet Marketing
and I will tell you I did not have a clue as to what I was doing.
That’s why I decided to share these 4 Quick Tips For Newbies
Who Are Just Getting Started Online.

I actually wasn’t looking for an online business but saw a video that captured my heart.  It inspired me so much that I joined and didn’t even know what I was joining.  That’s another story for another day.

My point is…

I did not know what a capture page was…

I did not know what an autoresponder was…

I did not know what a domain was…

I didn’t know what blogs were even though now I realize that I had actually read several of them but always thought about them as articles instead of actual blogs.

I could tell you a hundred things I did not know when I got started.

For those of you who are complete “newbies” I shot this quick video that provides 4 Quick Tips For Newbies Who Are Just Getting Started Online.

These are very basic tips so if you are a seasoned marketer, you may want to skip the video and click here now to have access to the simple 3-step formula that I am using and it’s creating 5-6 figure monthly income earners.

For the newbies….or maybe you ware still struggling and need some tips, watch the video then leave some comments below to let me know if these  Quick Tips For Newbies Who Are Just Getting Started Online helped you.

4 Quick Tips For Newbies Who Are Just Getting Started Online

1.  You must have a blog.  You’re blog is your home on the interest.  Every successful business has a blog.  You can have immediate access to the Kalatu Premium blogging platform  here.  Want to know more about Kalatu Premium and why it will help you in your business?  Here’s a previous post about Kalatu Premium describing what it is and who it’s for.

Kalatu Premium

2.  Domain – Although this is not a necessity, I highly recommend getting your own domain.  I use GoDaddy.  Their customer service is awesome.  One of the reasons you need your own domain is because if you are using a company domain, sometimes they get shut down or they might get blocked from social media.

GoDaddy

Another reason to have your own domain is for using email forwarding in your autoresponder so your emails don’t go to spam.

If you would like for information about domains, email forwarding, domain forwarding, subdomains, click here and I will be happy to provide you with my personal training on getting this set up.

3.  Capture Pages – This is a MUST.  Maybe your company provides capture pages (the system I use provides capture pages, autoresponders, training, done-for-you marketing, and everything else you need. Find out more here.

You can also create your own capture pages.  I personally use LeadPages.  Here’s one of my capture pages and you can go ahead and enter your email address to see how it works.

The process works like this….

You have a blog, in your blog you have a link that goes to your capture page.

Prospects will enter their email address which automatically goes in to your autoresponder. I use GetResponse.

Once they are in your autoresponder, you can email them with your content and occasionally your offer.  You can keep in touch with them so they will get to know you better.

Get you questions answer

4.  AutoResponder – VERY IMPORTANT- Once a prospect enters their email address in your capture page, their email goes into your autoresponder.   Gain, I use GetResponse however, Aweber, works well too.  There are also many others.

GetResponse

I know this was a very basic explanation about how everything works and if you would like more FREE training on how to get this set up or for other marketing tips, click here and I will help you with whatever questions you may have.

I also want to mention there will never be a better time to get started in creating your own freedom than what I can offer you right now.  This system is creating 5-6 figure monthly income earners and can do the same for you.

Click here now for more information on how you can create your own time freedom, money freedom, and location freedom.

11 Valuable Tips To Increasing Your Email Open Rate

At some point you have probably struggled with ways of increasing your email open rates so here are 11 tips that will help you out.

1.  First of all CONTENT is KING.  If you are constantly asking your list to buy, they will eventually unsubscribe.  At least that’s what I do anyway.

A few examples of great content are:

1.    Information– Company, Product(s), Pay Plan, Founders, The Leaders, The Corporate Team, Etc.

2.    Education– Generic How to or Specific How to

3.    Inspiration– Human Interest Piece (struggle to success stories, breakthrough stories, etc)

4.    Entertainment- Videos, Blog posts, or emails of real life funny things, get togethers, candid event interviews or conversations, etc

5.    Promotion- Discounts, Bonuses, Freebies

Content is King

2. Use Your Real Name. You are trying to build a relationship with your subscribers right?  Let them put a name with your face.  After all, who would you rather receive an email from…a friend or a business?

3.  Use Your Real Email Address – what happens when you write from “no-reply@awesomecompany.com”?

No one replies right?  As a blogger and marketer, you want your subscribers to know you are a real person and they can connect with you.

I have also found that a paid email has a better open rate than a free account.

A free account is gmail, yahoo, aol, etc.  It’s best to purchase a domain and create a email forwarding to another account….even a free account.

This can easily be done with a GoDaddy domain and I’m sure it’s just as easy with other domain providers.

Emails are by people, from people, for people.  People connect with people, not with inanimate objects.

Whatever you fill the “from” line with, be sure to keep it the same as much as possible. This trains your reader and spam filters to expect the email from the same sender.

4.  Use Clear Subject Lines 33% of email recipients open email based on subject line alone. Don’t confuse your reader.  Let them know in the subject line what’s inside.

What you say in the subject line is very important and has a major impact to your email deliverability.

Over 35% of SPAM is detected from an email’s Subject Line.   Your email subject line bears most of the responsibility of getting your email open rates up where they should be.

Here are a few things to remember:

* Don’t Spam – Tell your reader what they will read and don’t trick them into opening the email.

* Don’t Yell – Using all CAPS sometimes implies yelling.

* Numbers Do Work – Numbers increase engagement so don’t shy away from using numbers in your subject line because they wil improve your email open rates.

email subject lines

5.  Use Power Words In Your Subject Line

Some examples are “guaranteed, “secrets”, “discover”, “unleash”, “off-limits”, “proven”, “you”, “invitation”, “introducing”, “new”, “update”, “special”, and “we”. When possible, use the person’s name.

Sensory and emotional words attract more attention and will increase email open rates.

Words have power

6.  Use The Word “YOU” instead of I. “You” is one of the most persuasive words in the English language.  This will help build a stronger relationship and make your reader feel like you are talking directly to them.

7.  Use The Power Of P.S.- Remind people of a deadline. Or repeat what they stand to lose if they don’t take up your offer. Always continue to provide a benefit.

8.  Have A Personal Welcome Message – When someone opts in my email list, they immediately receive a welcome email.  Almost always, this email will contain a personal welcome video from me…here’s an example < < – –  Even if you don’t include a video, it’s still important that they receive a personal message from you.  At that point, you can let them know when to expect emails from you and also ask them to “whitelist” your email.

9. A/B Test Your Subject Lines.  A/B is based on the very simple idea of having two ideas, and letting your audience tell you which one they like.

Another way to perform testing is through Seed Accounts. Set up “seed” accounts to test your inboxing to improve your email open rates.

Set up at least 4 test accounts. One each for Gmail, Hotmail, Yahoo, & AOL. Make sure you receive a test email to at least 3 out of 4 of the seed (test) accounts before sending the actual email.

Test, test & test again until they inbox.

10 .  Know Your Market –

-Getting the Right People in front of the Right Message at just the Right Time.

-Know the conversations taking place inside the mind of your prospect.

-Your product is not your product… your real product is people. Know your prospect, better than you know your product.

-Learn more about people than you learn about your product and you’ll have just learned more about the REAL product that you market.

-Your market is change….people who want to change their life, income, and/or circumstances.

-Formula For Effective Sales Copy: Problem, Agitation, and Solution.

Know Your Audience

11.  Be Consistent-Email your readers regularly.  You should be providing them with “value” and they will look forward to your emails.

One way to do this is to email them your blog post.  You are providing great content on your blog so sending this to your readers will get them the opportunity to get to know you better.

If you do not have a blog, you are already missing out on a great opportunity to make money online by blogging.

8 Best URL Shorteners

Url shorteners have become a necessity if you want to use Twitter to it’s fullest extent. Although there are many available, here is a list of:

8 Best URL Shorteners

1. bit.ly

Bit.ly is the most popular and one of the oldest URL shorteners. It offers instant tracking, stats, and the ability to have vanity URLs that signify your brand.

2. goo.gl

Goo.gl is the official URL shorteners from Google. It’s one of the newer URL shorteners on the block, but it’s becoming quite popular on Twitter. It allows you to track when your shortened URLs were created and how many clicks they’ve received.

3. Owl.ly

This is the official HootSuite URL shortener, which can be used as a stand-alone shortener on the web, or while logged on to the HootSuite dashboard on the web or mobile. This is one of the most popular url shorteners.

4. Su.pr

Su.pr is StumbleUpon’s official URL shortener. It allows you to syndicate content to StumbleUpon, Facebook and Twitter at the same time, suggests the best time of day to post, and allows you to schedule posts in the future.  Very popular in the Url shortners.

URL shorteners such as this:

– Help to Increase traffic.
– Real time analytics showing how many people click through the links and how many people came through StumbleUpon.
– Suggest the best posting time based on past data.
– Tells the number of retweets and reviews.
– History Viewer.
– Sharing functionality

5.  Budurl:

Budurl comes with lot of additional premium features apart from just being one of the many url shorteners. It also:

– Emails to prospects & clients
– QR Code integration for print campaigns
– Use their Mobile Micro-Sites to drive traffic for mobile campaigns
– Schedule your Tweets
– Detailed stats of Blog posts & comments on sites
– Links to PDFs and other files on my website and in emails
– Affiliate links
– Advertising links

6.  Tinyurl:

– Browser toolbar

– Hide Affiliate URLs

– Preview Feature

 7. Lnk.co (ReduceLnk)

This URL shortener service offers an interesting proposition: make money by tweeting shortlinks. Although it does allow you to use its service without this, if you register, you can apparently earn money when people click on the links you shorten. We haven’t tried this out, but the idea is pretty neat.

8. fur.ly

This one gets points for a pretty cute name, but fur.ly also has a unique method of shortening links. It allows you to input multiple links at once and shortens them into a single URL. When clicked, a fur.ly link will bring you to a web page that shows each link in sequence.

5 Tools You Can Use For Pinterest

When using social media as one of our marketing strategies sometimes Pinterest is overlooked.

Pinterest is rapidly growing as over 60% of major brands have a Pinterest account.  Some of these major accounts are Lowes, Martha Stewart Living, Self Magazine, Etsy, L.L. Bean, Country Living, and Nordstrom just to name a few.

If you are not using Pinterest you are missing out on a large audience. While brand engagement on Pinterest is generated by users, not brands themselves, some have figured out better than others how to make use of the social image-gathering site. And clearly there is value in Pinterest users.

In this article I am going to share some tools to help you improve the way you can improve your pinning by improving the way you create content and connect with your audience.  If you are not currently pinning, maybe this will help you get started.

#1. PicMonkeyPicMonkey is a free online image editor that is ideal for creating and editing images without investing in Photoshop or hiring a designer. Although is was not specifically built for Pinterest, PicMonkey is a feature-rich, user-friendly tool that lets you create beautiful image quotes, do quick touch ups to your photos, resize images and overlay pictures with text.

How To Use Infographics In Your Blog

If you are involved with Network Marketing or Blogging, you
may not be aware of how using Infographics in your blog or
on your website can get you more traffic.

So, what are Infographics and how can they help you?

An infographic (information graphic) is a representation of
information in a graphic format designed to make the data
easily understandable at a glance. People use infographics
to quickly communicate a message, to simplify the presentation
of large amounts of data, to see data patterns and relationships,
and to monitor changes in variables over time.

Here are a few tools that will help you in your
blogging activities.

 Infographics

1. Piktochart

Piktochart is a web-based tool that has six decent free themes
(and a whole lot more for the paid version) for creating simple
visualizations. You can drag and drop different shapes and images,
and there is quite a bit of customization available. You can also
add simple line, bar, and pie charts using data from CSV (or manual entry).
You can export to PNG and JPG in either
print or web quality.
Note that with the free version, you get a small Piktochart watermark
on the bottom of the PNG / JPG downloads.

2. Easel.ly

Easel.ly is another free web-based tool for creating infographics.
You cannot create graphs using real data with this tool, but
works well for conceptual visualizations and storytelling.

3. Infogr.am

Infogr.am is another free, web-based tool with some really nice
themes and a great interface for creating simple infographics.
This option also allows you to create charts using real data.
There are 31 chart options that offer some really cool displays,
like a radial bar graph, scatter charts, bubble graphs, and map
charts. You can also add your own images and video.

4. Visual.ly

Visual.ly (I know, these visualization tools love their ‘.ly’s!) has
some simple free tools worth mentioning, many of which integrate
with social
networks to analyze Twitter and Facebook data. You
can create fun Venn diagrams, Twitter account show-downs, visuals
that analyze hash tags, and a few others, but there’s almost no
customization available.

5. Tableau

Tableau has some free tools for creating data visualizations. It is not
web based, so you have to download the software. Once you do,
you can upload a spreadsheet or CSV and create a variety
of interactive data visualizations types, including heat maps
showing density of an activity by location, Venn diagrams to show
associations, bar charts, line graphs, and others.

6.  Visualbee.com

VisualBee uses your content and our unique free PowerPoint templates
along with appropriate graphics to create an effective PowerPoint
presentation.  VisualBee inserts ready-made professional templates
and backgrounds right into your presentation. All the slides can be
easily edited and modified in the native PowerPoint format.

7. Present.me

Present.me allows you to create presentations where you record
yourself talking next to the slides
 you’re presenting. This tool might
be a good way for people working remotely to share a proposal or
concept, or for documenting presentations you’ve given on your
blog or site.

Why SHOULD you use Infographics in your marketing strategy?

1. Compelling and Attractive (Attracts Attention)

2. Easily Viewed and Scanned (we all enjoy looking at things)

3. Increases Traffic

4. Brand Awareness

5. Capabilability of going Viral

6. Easy to Embed

7. Search Engine Optimisation

8.  Attracts Backlinks

Even though words are still the best way to communicate
many types of information, but according to a 2011 study
by Skyword, the total views of a piece of written content
increase by 94 percent when visual content, such as an
image or infographic, is embedded.

How To Get Traffic To Your Website.

Traffic is the lifeblood of your online business

Without traffic your online business will die.

With enough traffic your online business can

make you millions.

There are hundreds of ways to get traffic

to your website…  Some are free and some paid.

Here are a few ways for you to get started

Increasing your traffic and generating more

Leads.

Remember the 3 C’s of Marketing?

Create, Capture, & Convert right?

That’s what getting traffic is all about.

Here are a few ways to do that.

1.     Create Epic Content

Write something that is going to give

value to your reader.  You want to give content

goes above and beyond attracts traffic

naturally due to the immense value that it delivers.

Find what your readers are looking for and

then provide them with an answer to solve

their problems.

2.     Create a YouTube Channel and Publish your

Videos.

YouTube is the second largest search engine

on the web, and they are owned by Google.

Syndicating your video content to other

video sites  with OneLoad you will be able

to pick up a considerable amount of niche

traffic to your site.

Traffic Geyser is like Tube Mogul, only it is a
paid version with more bells and whistles.

Traffic Geyser sends your content all over
the web, to blogs, and video hubs.

3.     Use an Autoresponder to Build your Email List.

Many autoresponders are available such as

GetResponse, Awever, GVO, MailChimp, iContact,

Constant Contact and many others.

4.     Give Away Free Stuff

Giving away high quality free stuff is a powerful
way to drive traffic to your website, generate
leads for your business, and make sales.

If you give someone $10 of value for free and
then suggest a product for $1 people will be
much more likely to buy compared to if you
simply asked them for the $1 sale.

Free content is often shared, and the more

value your free offer is the better your chances

are of your content being shared virally.

5.     Write a Free eBook

If you have blog posts already you can simply
copy and paste your content into a document,
then convert it to a .pdf, and just like that you’ll
have an eBook!
eBooks have a high percieved
value and are a great way to build your email list.

6.    Social Media

This goes unsaid.  Social media is a free way and

A quick way to get people to your website.

Facebook, Google+, LinkedIn, Twitter, and Pinterest

are great places to connect with others while

inviting them to read your blog or article.  This

is one way of getting traffic to your website that

every marketer, both online and offline should

put to use.

7.     Link your site in your Email Signature.

Every email you send is an opportunity to get traffic
to your site. Set up a custom signature with a link
to your website, and the title of your site, and there
is a good chance that it will get clicked.

8.     Submit your site to Search Engines

If your site is new make sure you manually

submit it to Google, Yahoo, and BING, so

that they know to crawl it on a regular basis.

9.    Be Active in Forums that are relevant to
your Niche.

      Forums are an awesome way
to build your brand by helping people, and
learn from other people who have already
“been there and done that.” If you are interested
in Internet Marketing I recommend checking
out the Warrior Forum.

            10.  Bookmarking
SocialAdr is a social bookmarking service

that allows you to have your bookmark

shared by others in the community if you

share the content of others.

11. Infographics

Infographics go viral.

If you have a little bit of design skill you can
take stats about any topic spin them into a
cool image, and then sit back and relax as
your infographic is shared all over the web.

Make sure to include a url to your website
within the infographic so that you can still get
credit and traffic when your infographic is
re-blogged elswhere on the web.

12. Create a Facebook Page

By putting your traffic where users spend most
of their time online you have the best chance of
it being viewed.
Currently people in North
America spend more time on Facebook than
any other website.
If you do not have a
Facebook page yet for your website you
are seriously missing out on a huge source of traffic!

These are only a very few ways to get traffic to your

Website as there are literally hundreds of ways.
