5 FREE Tools To Help Your Business Productivity

Top 5 tools you may have heard about but maybe you haven’t been using them in your business.

I was listening to one of our Inner Circle calls inside Empower Network and sometimes it still amazes how much education and training is located in this one product alone.

I want to share with you what I heard on 1 (only 1) of the calls within this product.  If you don’t have the Inner Circle you and your business are missing out.

Here are 5 Free Tools from Google you should be using in your business.

Maybe you are using some of them but not efficiently.  Here are some tips to help you get going.

1.  Google Drive – This is a collection of office products that works like Microsoft Office or Open Office.

One major advantage to Google Drive is that you can log in from any computer or even your phone and access your files.  You can even embed pictures from your files to your phone.  It is actually a giant storage that works like an office suite.

The Document Program works like Microsoft Word.  This is great for any document you choose to create.

The Presentation program works like PowerPoint.  It includes themes, slides, presentations and you can actually export to PowerPoint if needed.

The Spreadsheet Program is similar to Excel.  It has formulas, does sums, allows you to change data base.  This is great for maintaining a track record of your activities.

The Form Program allows you to create forms.  This is great for creating forms, event planning, surveys, and collecting data.  It works like an optin sheet that collects the data (name, address, email) and sends to the spreadsheet for tracking.

For example, people can leave comments on forms or complete surveys. Awesome way to collect data.

2.  Google Voice – Only available in US.  If you don’t want to give out your cell phone number get Google Voice.  You probably don’t want people calling you in the middle of the night so Google Voice keeps that from happening.  This is completely free.  All you have to do is get your new  number.

It allows you to call people from your laptop.  This is great if you don’t have good cell phone connection.  You can also have it connected to your landline.  It is also great if you do not have unlimited text or calls on your cell phone.  You can do it all from your computer.

Allows for screening calls as well.  Instead of talking to that person right then they can leave a voice message.  When they leave a message on Google Voice it is automatically recorded.  This can be downloaded, emailed and even embedded if needed.

If you are in a noisy area, Google Voice can actually take the recorded message, transcribe it, and then send you the text.

As your business grows more people will probably be calling you.  These may be legitimate calls…maybe not.  If you get weird, crazy calls, you can actually have these calls blocked.  And you can also take notes on the call by searching for the number.  Google Voice is like a search engine that lets you look for key words in the message.

3. Gmail-Gmail’s anti-spam system is clearly superior to any other. Very few spam messages make it into my Inbox, and it’s been rare so far to see messages incorrectly marked as spam Gmail’s anti-spam system is clearly awesome Very few spam messages make it into my Inbox, and it’s been rare so far to see messages incorrectly marked as spam.

A disadvantage is that they have to be able to display ads on your site.  This has never been an issue for me but something you should know.

With the free Gmail account you get 15gs across your Google photos, Google drive, & gmail.  This is huge!  You can also get 100gs for $1.99 a month. That would be almost unlimited.

You can also use Google business apps. For $5 per user per month, you get a custom domain.  You don’t have to use a hosting provider or a domain provider’s email.  Gmail would be the email for your custom domain.  This is great when using autoresponders for your business because a lot of them recommend you have your own domain when you send out emails. It is more customized, looks for like a business, and is overall more professional.  For $5 a month you also get 30gs so it is actually doubled.  Go check out Google Business apps.

I think I’ll just stop with these 3 tools and let you go grab the Inner Circle for yourself so you can have access to EVERYTHING.
