5 Tools You Can Use For Pinterest

When using social media as one of our marketing strategies sometimes Pinterest is overlooked.

Pinterest is rapidly growing as over 60% of major brands have a Pinterest account. Some of these major accounts are Lowes, Martha Stewart Living, Self Magazine, Etsy, L.L. Bean, Country Living, and Nordstrom just to name a few.

If you are not using Pinterest you are missing out on a large audience. While brand engagement on Pinterest is generated by users, not brands themselves, some have figured out better than others how to make use of the social image-gathering site. And clearly there is value in Pinterest users.

In this article I am going to share some tools to help you improve the way you can improve your pinning by improving the way you create content and connect with your audience. If you are not currently pinning, maybe this will help you get started.

#1. PicMonkey – PicMonkey is a free online image editor that is ideal for creating and editing images without investing in Photoshop or hiring a designer. Although is was not specifically built for Pinterest, PicMonkey is a feature-rich, user-friendly tool that lets you create beautiful image quotes, do quick touch ups to your photos, resize images and overlay pictures with text.

#2. WooBox Pinterest Tab – This allows you to showcase your Pinterest boards and pins on your Facebook page, just as they look on the aactual Pinterest site.

#3. PinAlerts – Pinalerts alerts you via email when someone pins something directly from your site (Pinterest only emails you when you get a repin). Pinalerts is a great way to track repins from your site, connect with other pinners and build a community.

#4. Postris Postris describes itself as a “content discovery dashboard” and comes with a simple interface to help you stay on top of what is hot and trending across Pinterest. Postris is awesome a powerful tool to use with Instagram.

#5. ShareAsImage ShareAsImage is an extension that enables you to create picture quotes on the fly from any webpage, including your own.
