Mindset Strategies are absolutely imperative when starting a business.
Building a business is very rewarding but can also be challenging. Keep in mind that Mindset Strategies play a part in leadership as well as building a business.1
I’m sure you will agree that success begins in the mind. Therefore, the key to success is to maintain a positive mindset.
Many times this may be easier said than done. Applying the right skills and using the right tools will help you succeed.
Here are 6 empowering mindset strategies for your business that will help you create and sustain a positive mindset allowing you to attain the success you desire.
1. Surround yourself with successful and positive people
The influence people have over our own personal energy is amazing. Moods and attitudes are easily spread. Have you ever heard the saying “A smile is contagious”? Sometimes a simple smile can make your day and you can magnify that smile and spread it to your family and friends.

This quote is one of the most powerful ones that I keep reminding myself over and over again. When you have people around you who inspire you, believe in you and want you to succeed, there’s no room for doubts and even when they creep up, they’re quickly swept away. This is one of the mindset strategies that may be difficult but will be worth the extra effort.
2. Create Affirmations/Declarations
Repeating positive affirmations has been shown to get people through tough times and to actually help them truly believe what they’re saying. The main thing with this is keeping the negative thoughts out.
Here are a few of the affirmations/declarations that are suggested by T. Harv Eker in his book “Secrets of the Millionaire Mind”.
- My inner world creates my outer world.
- I observe my thoughts and entertain only those that empower me.
- I create the exact level of my financial success.
- I commit to being rich.
- I choose to get paid based on my results.
- I am an excellent money manager.
These are only a few declarations suggested by Eker. You can and should create your own.
To find the right affirmations for you, consider writing a quick list of your doubts, insecurities and complaints. These can then be quickly turned into affirmations. An example of this would be if you are always feeling disorganized, then your affirmation might be “I am organized and in control.
Repeat your affirmations several times a day.
Big key here- Don’t just write the positive affirmations . Do them and you will achieve success much faster.
3. Capture your negative thoughts and turn them into positive ones.
We all have negative thoughts from time to time, however, negative thoughts and emotions can derail us and prevent us from achieving all we desire. Of course catching those negative thoughts takes practice and persistence. When you find yourself thinking negative thoughts or having negative emotions, find a trigger to turn them around.
The affirmations mentioned above are a great way to turn the negative into the positive. You can also find quick pick me ups like a favorite song, a walk outside in the fresh air, or some exercise to help improve your mood.
4. Determine your goals/desires and then be willing to take massive action.
It is imperative that these goals/desires have purpose and clarity. The law of attraction says that we attract what we focus on the most. Be specific. If your goal is to have a lot of money, don’t just say “I want a lot of money”. Write down the actual amount of money your desire and set a specific date in which this money will be received. Write down and repeat out loud your Major Definite Purpose daily.
Just repeating it over and over each will not achieve your goals. You have to have a burning desire for whatever it is you want. Your mindset strategies will help you to focus on that desire.It is equally important you take MASSIVE ACTION. If you set your goals and take no action you will attract absolutely nothing.
5. Gratitude (Mindset Strategies)
Being grateful is perhaps the single most powerful and positive tool of the mindset strategies and success period.. When you’re grateful for all of the wonderful things and people in your life the challenges you face seem significantly less important and are more easily dealt with.
The attitude of gratitude helps you maintain a positive perspective and to face challenges as opportunities rather than obstacles.

6. Self-Confidence Formula
This is probably the most important of all the Mindset Strategies and I should have listed it first. Knowing that you have the ability to achieve whatever your major definite purpose in life is and demanding of yourself to take action to achieve it is of utmost importance.
Concentrating your thoughts on the person you intend to become and create a clear mental picture of that person will help you in developing your self-confidence.
